2017 Online Conference

Call for Lightning Talks

WHSLA  welcomes lightning talk ideas for our online, Thursday, November 2, 2017 meeting.

What Is a Lightning Talk?

Lightning talks are short and describe works in progress, new ideas, or opportunities for collaborative work in your library or institution. The purpose of a lightning talk can be to initiate a discussion, find collaborators, or share an idea. Lightning talk presentations will be 5 minutes each. Speakers may use media or slides.

What can I talk about?

Just about anything. Have a new way to show value in your library? Working on an oral history project about your hospital or library? Using a new technology that makes your work easier? Submit those ideas for a lightning talk!

To be considered for a 2017 WHSLA lightning talk, please send the following to Jennifer.deal@aurora.org by July 31. Those chosen to present at WHSLA 2017 will be notified by August 15, 2017.
