Program

Program

All WHSLA members are invited to attend the 2011 Annual WHSLA meeting to connect with your colleagues from across the state to learn how they are using new technologies in medical libraries. Share ideas on new strategies for productivity and efficiency.

Our theme is Papyrus to Pixels: New Tools for Libraries. Our featured speaker is Max Anderson, Technology Coordinator, Greater Midwest Region, who will provide an overview of mobile technologies, social and communication tools, and cloud-based services in his presentation "Would Cleopatra Have Owned an iPhone?"

Attendance is free to WHSLA members in good standing. The event will include lunch and one ticket to the Milwaukee Public Museum and special event. The special event is Cleopatra: The Search for the Last Queen of Egypt.

Our event is scheduled to coincide with the Wisconsin Library Association’s annual conference. WLA is being held at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center & Frontier Airlines Center which is within walking distance of the Milwaukee Public Museum.

Email Karen L. Hanus (khanus@mcw.edu) by October 1, 2011. Please indicate if you are only coming for the lunch and presentation.
